El fortalecimiento de la democracia se presenta como desafío para la República Dominicana. Hay muchos actores que consideran que el sistema político democrático actual está en crisis por su estructural clientelismo, corrupción e impunidad.
En ese contexto, el trabajo de la FES incentiva el debate sobre nuevas narrativas de la democracia y las iniciativas de fortalecer la participación política de nuevos y amplios sectores.
Con nuestras actividades buscamos promover a actores políticos y sindicales en su capacidad propositiva y en su articulación con la sociedad, con el desarrollo de nuevos relatos políticos u objetivos programáticos, capaces de construir espacios alternativos para romper con las tendencias nocivas que impiden el desarrollo de la democracia dominicana.
